Scofield Magnet Middle School
Scofield Manet Middle School Building

Scofield Magnet Middle School was founded as a magnet middle school with an emphasis on science, technology and math.

Our school's goal is to involve students in a learning partnership with the school, home, and community in order to insure success for all students. The Magnet Middle School is comprised of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students and is based on the following beliefs: high standards for all students, trust, respect, and collaboration.

While using an interdisciplinary approach to learning, special emphasis is placed on math, science, and technology. The school is strongly committed to implementing the principles of Carnegie Foundation research guidelines on early adolescence (Carnegie Foundation Report) and the Coalition of Essential Schools.

The Magnet Middle School employs a flexible block schedule and teaches the core subjects of math, social studies, science, language arts and reading to children in varying combinations of heterogeneous and homogeneous groups according to their abilities. An advisory program focuses on a different theme at each grade level.
