he Academy of Information Technology & Engineering (AITE) is an inter-district, public, magnet high school located in Stamford, Connecticut. With a maximum enrollment of 650 students, AITE draws students from throughout western Fairfield County. The school offers a dynamic college preparatory environment that integrates 21st century learning expectations, world language acquisition, emphasis on global competencies, advanced information technology skills and knowledge, introductory courses in pre-engineering and architecture, and service learning.
The learning environment includes extended time classes in a block schedule with a focus on student-centered, project based learning. All students and teachers are provided with wireless PC tablet computers that promote inquiry, creativity, and collaboration. Honors, advanced placement, college credit, and virtual high school courses are offered and available to all students. Admission is based on an application and lottery system. |
