| Program Criteria: Bilingual Education Serves second language learners whose native language is Spanish or Haitian (for 9-12 grades) The program is created when 20+ students who qualify for services are enrolled in the schools ENTRY CRITERIA– Two or more "yes" answers in the Home Language Survey upon registration Native Language: Spanish or Haitian Creole (for secondary only) LAS Oral Proficiency Level 1 or 2. English Language Proficiency Interview (LAU) All 9th and 10th graders registered prior to October 1st are eligible to the Bilingual Program After October 1st, all newly registered tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students must instead take their subject areas in a sheltered/English as a Second Language Progra
