NEW ARRIVALS (1-12)

ENTRY CRITERIA

• Two or more "yes" answers in the Home Language Survey upon registration
• Newly arrived English Language Learners from all ethnic groups and languages
• Grades 1 - 8
• LAS Links Levels 0 or 1

EXIT CRITERIA

• 10 weeks to one year in the program
• LAS Links level 2 or above
• Studetns are partially mainstreamed as they acquire language and academic skills
• Upon exit students remain in mainstream classes with ESL support
