Take a Look Inside Stamford Public Schools!
D
id you ever wonder what really happens inside the classroom each day? Students and teachers create dynamic learning communities by exploring, discussing, questioning, generating hypotheses, and problem-solving together.
The energy one feels in the classroom is also due to the strategies teachers use to differentiate instruction for students. Differentiated instruction refers to the way teachers provide students with different methods of acquiring and processing content – in short, using students’ innate strengths and interests to help them make sense of ideas.
Thanks to generous funding by the GE Foundation’s Developing Futures™ Program, Stamford Public Schools is pleased to present three videos that are representative of the high quality, standards-based teaching and learning taking place in our schools. They are also excellent examples of why in SPS, “Smart is not something you just are, smart is something you can get!”
