Dear Families,

Last month, FirstGroup PLC acquired Laidlaw International, the company that provides the Stamford Public Schools with bus transportation. As consumers, you will notice very little change and will continue to receive the same professional, reliable, and safe service you have come to know. It will be business as usual.

In the weeks to come, the fleet of buses will be rebranded to reflect the new corporate ownership. Bus decals will change from Laidlaw to First Student (a division of FirstGroup). In addition, the name “Stamford Public Schools” will appear on the sides of all buses. Finally, the staff at the bus depot will answer the telephone with the company name, First Student.
