School Redistricting

T

he Board of Education is considering four redistricting options to address imbalances in school enrollment by building capacity as well as in the socioeconomic make-up of school populations.

The criteria used in creating the redistricting options include balancing schools within +/- 10% of the Board of Education’s integration metric; balancing school enrollment by building capacity; increasing the number of walkers; decreasing the length of bus rides and bus riders; minimizing fiscal impact, maintaining school feeder patterns; and minimizing disruption to students and families.
