tamford Public Schools is committed to educational equity for all its students. Equity is defined as the commitment to provide full access to opportunities and a distribution of resources that enables each and every student to achieve educational excellence and civic responsibility.

  • All means all. Stamford Public Schools is committed to raising the achievement of all students. All students will have access to a rich and rigorous instructional program that is aligned to high local, state, and national standards.
  • To reach high standards, instruction will be differentiated to meet individual student strengths and needs.
  • Students will be provided appropriate supports and enrichment to prepare them for higher education and to enter the 21st Century workforce.
  • Common district-wide assessments will be used to monitor students’ progress in order to determine appropriate supports and enrichment opportunities.
  • All teachers are expected to deliver the district instructional program and will be provided the appropriate supports to do so.
  • Stamford Public Schools will make every effort to enlist the support of family members, the business community, nonprofits and other members of the Stamford community to benefit all students.
  • All administrators are responsible to monitor and provide support for the implementation of the district instructional program and to use student achievement results to continually improve instruction.
