| April 7, 2008 Dear Stamford Public Schools Community Member, Your participation in the mail-in Profile Survey and/or the community forum, helped immensely in the final drafting of the Leadership Profile document created by CABE Search Services. This tool, representing community values and leadership expectations, will be used to screen/judge leadership candidates for future positions in our school system. In efforts to continue "opening up" the hiring process, representatives from all major stakeholder groups: parents, classroom teachers, educational assistants, central office and building-based administrators, will "sit at the table" during the first rounds of interviews. The interview process will take place sometime late April beginning of May. The interview committee will then forward recommendations to the Superintendent for a second round of interviews. The Superintendent will then make a recommendation to the Board of Education Labor Committee. The Superintendent's recommendation will be submitted to the Board of Education during the May 27, 2008 Board meeting.
